Culpeper Marches Against Pay Snub

Facing no pay increase and rising health insurance costs this year, members of the Culpeper County Education Association (CCEA) are fighting back. More than 50 CCEA members and supporters from around the state marched to the county school board meeting Monday. “Teachers should not have to be the group on which the county budget gets balanced,” said CCEA President Joyce Tyree (pictured at left).

Candidates Vie for NEA Director

Sarah Patton of the Covington Education Association and Steve Whitten of the Mecklenburg Education Association are participating in a run-off election for the position of NEA Director.
